After the European Parliament adopted a resolution calling the Serbian Orthodox Church “a disruptive factor in the region”, the Serbian Orthodox Church issued a statement expressing regret that Europe and its parliament still use misinformation and deep historical prejudices and tendentious stereotypes.
Putting the Serbian Orthodox Church in the role of the cause of “tensions between ethnic groups in the Western Balkans in order to stir up conflicts and divide communities” is completely contrary to the facts and the Church’s commitment in everyday life and therefore we firmly reject such an attitude: http://www.spc.rs/sr/povodom_rezolucije_evropskog_parlamenta
